We are a church body of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. That means several things.
First, we believe in the Word of God. His Word is the means by which God created and saved the world. Jesus Christ is the Word made flesh – The Word that is God and was with God from the beginning (John 1.) We believe that what God speaks happens.
Secondly, we are a liturgical church. That means that we serve God by doing the work of God as our worship of Him and this happens within our building every Sunday and through our lives every other day. Our Sunday worship experience reflects our dependence on the Word of God by emphasizing the work of Jesus Christ who saved us.
Finally, it means we are a sacramental church. That means that we believe God comes to us in His recorded word and also in the gift of His word made visible through Baptism, Communion, and Confession and Absolution.
